About the artist
Linda Anne Ehlers
Artist, teacher, event designer — and, by her own account, still deciding what to be when she grows up.

My story
Linda was born in Vermont and, at fifteen, moved to Alaska — kicking and screaming the whole way. The oldest of six, she left behind family, friends and David, the boy next door, and wondered whether her destiny was to be eaten by a bear in the Alaskan wilderness.
She isn't sure what she should be when she grows up, but definitely not to be eaten by a bear!
Linda credits her love of art to her early years. Her father was an artist, draftsman and all-around creative guy who encouraged her to draw, and her mother was gifted in sewing, design and creating just about anything she could imagine.
Life was a whirlwind of adventures, and Linda discovered painting by watching Scott McDaniel, a well-known and extremely talented Alaskan artist. Ten years of his demonstrations and classes led her to seek more training: The Master's Course by Daniel Edmondson started the journey, and classes from E. John Robinson and the Jerry Yarnell School of Fine Art, among others, have kept her passion for learning alive.
The joy, passion and love for painting proved to be a lifeline through all of life's valleys.
Linda is self-taught, self-evolving and self-encouraging, and is ever ready to share her passion to paint with the world — especially the younger generation. Her advice: embrace life with all you can, share your giftings, add some joy along the way, and above all else, seize the day.
Peace and grace to pave the way
